Loved my time here

I seriously think a lot of the reviews written on this site are written by competitors, or just people messed up in the head. This is the second apt community I lived in where there were really no problems - not with the leasing office, not with the apt., not with anything.. but yet some reviews make it seem like the place stinks.
In November, 2007 I moved in here for a year lease. With some luck, I happened to get the first three months free. The agent offered me a special, later told me it was a mistake, but then when I complained he said he could do it. I pay $50 extra for parking. There's plenty of parking in the garage, though the spaces are tight.
Apts are clean, appliances are new. Leasing agents have always been helpful and friendly most of the time. The concierge staff is great. Never had a problem with packages. The college student they have working weeknights is a great guy.
There seemed to be some interns or something this summer, and they were kind of annoying, but hey, you only have to pass them in the hall sometimes. Not sure if it just luck, but I never hear anything in my apt.
Location is excellent, right near the metro and with good weather, walking to the Harris-Teeter for groceries is no problem.
I just got the renewal notice and my rent would be $30 extra the next year. Not sure if I'm staying, only because I'm most likely moving from the area.
Since there are mostly new appliances, I hadn't had to deal with maintenance much, but when I did it was fine.
The biggest complaint I have is the dogs. People usually walk them around the lobby, though there were signs posted in the elevator telling them not to do that. There's only so much you can do about stupid people.
No, this place is not cheap but it is worth the money.
