We have leased a corporate apartment in this building which has cost us $5000.00 per month. We decided to stay at the building because of the location....the proximity to the Metro and shopping. We rented the apartment directly from Kettler Developers as opposed to leasing from a company that holds the lease directly with Kettler. 40% of the apartments in this building are rented out to third party companies. Those apartments are much better furnished and many are located on the upper floors with guaranteed views. Kettler suites are now all located on the lower floors

So what have we received for our $120,000.00' We have had a view of DC from our apartment because we signed a long lease. However,we have received lousy furnishings, some of which we changed at our request and some requests were repeatedly ignored by the management office on site. The building has had many, many maintenance problems, rendering much of the outside areas attached to the community areas inaccessible for most of the summer season. Apartment balconies have been painted and the slider doors to the balconies screwed shut for weeks during the painting process. The management office has been consistently staffed with inexperienced, unknowledgeable personnel who are untrustworthy with their information. Accompanying their lack of information, the staff is virtually incapable of producing a correct document without many, many 'renditions'.

Now, I don't have a dog that I can parade thru the lobby to receive treats at the conceirge desk, we had merely a cat for which we paid an extra monthly fee, and so far my keys have not fallen down an elevator shaft but we have had our car damaged due to water dripping thru the concrete in the park garage. The building has had multiple floods, usuage restrictions and a very poor staff. Majority of the tenants renting noncorporate seem to stay for a very short time which is also indicative of a badly run building.

We would recommend that you search elsewhere for corporate housing if that is your need while in this area. If you are considering a regular rental, do not rent from Kettler Development, formerly known as KSI.
