Pros:

Friendly and relaxed staff.
4 min. walk to metro.
No problem getting parking spot.
Great location!
Moderately priced (in 2004).
Very quiet in the building. Never heard neighbors.
Rooftop pool clean and convenient.
Security is pretty good.
Maintenance crew never entered without proper notice.


Cons:

Frequent fire engine noise from outside building.
Garage door broken once per month.
Water turned off for repairs once per month.
Appliances 15 years old and very abused (Fridge initially only cooled to 50F, took over a week to repair).
Maintenance crew proficient but understaffed.

Building designed such that apartments across and either above or below can see through your blinds. Either shut your blinds or live in a fishbowl!


All things considered, the price was right for this location. No place is perfect. If they fixed the broken stuff, the place would be pretty decent. The top floors don't have the fishbowl problem listed above. I would go back if I could not find anything better.
