AVERAGE RATING

No frills place. Expensive but OK for neighborhood. Location is convenient enough.

I would not recommend the place unless you are looking for some of the strengths of the apartment.
NEGATIVES
PARKING - it is bad. There is not enough for visitors and if by mistake you park in the wrong spot your car WILL get towed away VERY FAST. I think the tow truck comes several times a day
AIR CONDITIONING - It is not very powerful. The central system which works both for hot and cold air makes so much noise that it is annoying. I am got embarrased few times when I had guests and I was embarrased about the noise.
BUILDING OWNERS - It is owned by WRIT, a publicly traded company, so its focus is MONEY. The advertised rents are low, but once you are in you get rent increases even when they advertise lower prices out there. Pretty much they take advantage of your moving limitations and they juice you out. I tried negotiating but they come up with restrictions such as 1 year contract with 3 months notice for move etc. which makes it very incovenient.
AMENITIES - The gym is very small. Just a small room with 6 equipments. However, not many people use it so not bad. The swimming pool is very small (7x4 yards). The laundry room has been upgraded so it is fine but most of the time very busy. The entertainment room (a place with 2 TVs and a pool) is fine
POSITIVES
LOCATION - It is 13 min walk from metro so for communiting it is doable. The area is quiet and looks safe.
QUIET - Overall, very quiet building.
RENT - Yes the owners are there to get the money. but 1050 - 1170 for 1 bed apt in this area is reasonable.
OFFICE PEOPLE - They do try to be nice. Definately was nicer before 11/02 when old people ran the place, but the new people seem more responsive.
