I've lived at the Park for almost 2 years. Here is what I found that you might find helpful about this place.

Pros:
- The area is well taken care of except for the occassional elephant sized dog dookies.
- Maintenance is pretty good. They try to get to you as soon as possible. Some might disagree, but I have had no problems.
- Management has gotton better. They have called me several times to check up on maintenance issues I have put in.
- Amenities are adequate. Gym is small, but has what you need to get a workout in. Shuttle service is ok. They got rid of all the crackhead bus drivers. LOL, they actually had one that was arrested while dropping off tenants at the metro. Never used the pool, but seems ok. Only thing that sucks is that you are required to pay the amenity fee even if you don't require these things.
- Tenant ages span the specturm. Everyone kind of keeps to themselves, but I have met some cool people.
- Washer/Dryer and new appliances in the apartment.
- Garbage dump is not too far.
- Never experienced any crime. Use common sense, don't leave ---- in your car. You are near DC.
- Awesome location. Only problem is the shuttle only runs to metro at certain times of the day and NOT on the weekends, but there is a metro bus.
- Secure entrance to apartment buildings. Apply for a code for electronic entry. You also get a key, but the locks on the doors SUCK.

Cons:
- PARKING blows, but it has gotton better since opening the outdoor parking structure. You can always park free on Army Navy. Tow trucks frequent the complex at all hours so tell your visitors not to park in the permitted lots.
- Rent is very P-R-I-C-E-Y, but whatever.
- I will mention again the elephant sized dog terds.
- Amenities are part of the required fee.
- Pet fees are expensive.
- Not near any places in walking distance to eat, but whatever...I like to eat out.
- Walls are kind of thin. There were a couple of times where I wanted to tell my evangelical neighbor to STFU.

Hope this helps.
