The problems with the management at this complex started from the day we originally signed on to live here. We promptly received a snippy call from the leasing office informing us we d forgotten to give them our reservation check, which they d never asked for in the first place.
Pet-friendly is an overstatement at best. All residents continually received snippy notes reminding us that our dogs urine kills the grass, that the management could revoke the right to keep pets at any time, and in all other ways reminded us that our animals were not welcome, and were in fact barely tolerated.
There were many intrusions into our apartments for various inspections and investigations. On multiple occasions, I was told I had to move all furniture away from a panel in the bedroom so someone could go in for an inspection.
The main problem came when we went to move out. We were charged for having a dirty stove and sink, despite the fact that we d scoured both twice, and were charged $200 for a pet-cleaning for the carpet. When I asked why this expense was not taken out of the nonrefundable $600 pet rent, I was informed that the pet rent was simply the price for the privilege of having a dog. We did not even receive an actual bill for three months after our move-out date; the complex s accountant simply called and demanded money without providing a breakdown of the costs supposedly incurred. When we sent the checks, they lost them. I finally had to flat-out refuse to include the $10 they wanted to charge us for burned-out light bulbs, because I saw nothing in the rent that obligated us to pay for them.
Don t let the lack of a security deposit fool you; you will pay a lot to live here. The staff is curt and unhelpful, the management is always in your face, and they seriously hate your pets.
