I have lived at Richmond Square for a little over a year and I have not had any major complaints about living here. The management is very friendly and very competent. Maintenance issues are dealt with within 24 hours, no question. It's very convenient to have the deli/convenience store downstairs. The location relative to the Ballston metro is fabulous. I have no complaints about the noise, the walls must be ridiculously thick. There have been times where I've been walking down the hall to my apartment and I can hear my neighbor throwing a loud loud party, but once I get into my apartment I hear nothing at all. I have heard that the fitness facility has been dramatically redone in the last year which is nice because it's very convenient and has a lot of machines.
The only complaint that I could think of was once my car was towed from the assigned parking space that I had been using for a year. I had complained to the front desk clerk who informed me that I needed to space with the General Manager. When I called the General Manager the next day she informed me it had been an accident and promptly paid me back for the fee it cost to reclaim my car.
The rent price is a little steep, but it's a ridiculously amazing location and close to so much that driving is not completely necessary. And having utilities, washer/dryer in unit, and an assigned parking space included make it worthwhile. I foresee myself leaving this apartment only when I get to the point of no longer needing to rent and find a condo to buy.
