I've been here for less than a year and I am planning on moving out once my lease is up. I live in the Potomac Building (there are 3). I think the management, the leasing people, and concierge service all suck. I think the leasing people are horrible. I am in sales myself, but they acted as if I was bothering them when I first arrived to see an apartment. They didn't even show me all of the ammenities. I'm thinking I wasn't shown the ammenities because many are in bad shape. Or, maybe they are racist (I'm white). The rooftop decks are absolutely filthy. The gym has old equipment. The only thing this place has going for itself is the location. There are many other newer builings in the area to choose from. They are a little more expensive, but I gaurantee you won't have as many problems as you would here. The building is like 50 years old for one. I had a problem with my A/C unit leaking onto my floor. It took forever for management to fix the problem. It was a big headache. I agree with the last review about the people who are just plain rude. Unlike the last review, I do hear a lot of noise in the building. For Pete's sake, why do people have to hammer in the middle of the night' Can't people just wait until the weekend' I've complained to the front desk about the noise and they are complete imbiciles. They write down the problem on a piece of paper, but I think they throw it away when I leave because no one ever calls me for a follow up. I still here noises in the middle of the night. Don't be fooled into thinking this place is safe. There was a shooting right across the street a few months ago and a young man was killed. It's weird. There is always a police officer eating donuts when there is a concert across the street, but when something major happens they are no where to be found. This place has a security officers that patrol around in a little compact car, but they are worthless. I see them driving around all the time chatting on their cellphones. Why not have them patrol the building' Get off your lazy butts and actually do some work. This place is about getting you in and taking your money, but doing as little as possible to fix any problems.

I have lived at the River House the James building for over 5 year. The only noise I hear sometimes is someone slamming their door. As far as getting management to fix something that has never been a problem. I even call them to replace my light blubs which they always do in a few hours. As far as the staff being racist that just crazy. I think the Mr. Anonymous is the racist because most of the staff is ------- American or Hispanic.

I lived in the Potomac building for my 1 year assignment in DC. I found it very satisfactory. The management responded quickly when I had a problem. Every place has a few tenants who are not satisfied. I think Mr. Anonymous is in that minority. Jim in PA
