As I said I used to love this place. I like it now too for a lot of reasons: great location, park across the street, tennis courts, nice pool and gym. But there are also some bad things I hate. And I would give up all the things I like only for not dealing with the things I hate.

First of all, we have mice. We didn't have them before, but few months after new management took over the buildings, the things just went horribly wrong. Mice keep attacking my place, even though I keep my home clean: I take out trash every evening (sometimes twice a day), I wash hard floor in the kitchen and I vacuum the carpet three times a week. One day I found a mouse on my bed hiding in a blanket, it was just HORRIBLE! When I called them and asked to do something about it, they just came and placed mouse traps everywhere, but as I later found out the mice are not that stupid, they don't get trapped! I had to catch them myself! Then they did their annual pest control raid, and after that it seemed that mice disappeared...until recently. The mice are so desperate, they come out even during the day and can run right in front of you. I am so sick and tired of this, you can't even imagine. I called them again to ask to close the gaps everywhere in the apartment. I waited and waited, nobody came. Then after a few days I called again, and the maintenance team came after two days only to close the gaps in two freaking places. And I have counted about 6-7 gaps.

Another thing that freaks me out is how the so-called security works. I have a very noisy neighbor living right under my apartment, and this guy is so loud you can't even imagine. I guess he lives there with his girlfriend, and they always fight starting at 11pm and until 2pm. They also like to vacuum their apartment after their fights, or drill the walls... I tried to call the front desk couple times, because I couldn't sleep, so the front desk attendant would send the security guy to the floor, and if security guy hears nothing, they wouldn't do anything about it... They'd tell me to call police myself... Why we have this security service then'

And the last thing that bothers me the most is that I have to overpay for my utilities. I basically pay for what others have used, because they have only one meter in the building, and then they divide it by number of residents and square footage. I don't care if you don't have meters for everybody, it's your problem! I want to pay only for what I used, not others.

I am so pissed lately, and I can't wait until my contract is over to move out.
I think it's just such a waste of space in a wonderful location like Pentagon City.

I lived in this building for four years. When the new management took over, the quality of life there went down the tubes. Kettler really has destroyed a good thing.
