Riverplace North was a nice place to live. My sister and I (and our small bird) lived in a studio apartment (which is good for two college aged girls) for the summer. It was nice, walking distance to Georgetown University Shops (20 min, close to I-66, 395, GW Parkway, 5 min walk to Rosslyn Metro Station, Pentagon, has elevators that move quite fast, wonderful view of the fireworks display that's held over the Washington Memorial (the Obleisk) and the Senate or Capital building. It was great for my age, there were lots of Korean people that lived there, not many americans. The market place (has video rental) and hair salon is expensive (but everything around there is expensive). The apartments are sort of old, but well kept up, has security (need a key to get into all of the doors or desk receptionist can buzz you in), has receptionist desk. Problems was the very small space (esp. the kitchen) you can hear your neighbors talking and their children crying in the morning, have to rent each parking space ($90 /month), no visitor parking,I couldn't control my air, so sometimes I would freeze to almost to death. It's great for the college aged - mid 20s age, but not for an older person with family. Not much space to roam and play and you're in the middle of a mid sized city, hard to accommodate vistors. My rent was high, but mine included all utilites, furniture, cable, and phone.

We enjoyed our stay.
