Wow. I do not know who wrote the most recent entry about a good experience with management. In my 4 months here I have never once had a good experience with them. The maintenance people seem nice but are completely incompetent as are the cleaning crew. I killed a cockroach in the hallway and expected it to be vacuumed or something, but two weeks later the dead little guy is still hanging out in the hallway. I guess I'll have to go back out and grab it with a tissue. The guy who came in to fix my heat the other day basically told me the problem was with the heating system and... I don't get any heat. Great.

As for today, I just spoke with management about a courtesy note they slipped under my door regarding pest control, and found 0 courtesy in either of the two women at the management office. One had no idea what was going on at all, and the other yelled at me from her office, without even taking the time to step out of her office and listen to my questions. They are truly rude and disrespectful and I am astonished that the building's owners cannot find more adept and well-mannered people to manage this building.

If you are interested in the River Place Apartments, definitely look at the other three and do not rent from South. They took 5 months to get the hallway ceiling fixed when it was taken apart, leaving exposed wiring and open space for bugs and mice to get in that whole time. The heating and cooling systems have obviously not been updated since the 1970's. They do not have any sense of hospitality or professionalism, so unless you are prepared to constantly have to jump through hoops to get any maintenance or management help, do not bother renting from here.

Unless, of course, you want to take over my sublet so that I can get out of the rest of my 6 month lease...'
