I've been in the West building for about 8 months now and I think it's quite decent. I haven't experienced bugs or trash issues. Maintenance is very friendly and quick to respond. One of my biggest complaints is the temperature of the building. Since the A/C isn't turned on until the start of summer, I have no way to cool off my apt until then unless I open the windows and even then it's not cool enough in my opinion. By having the windows open, it can get noisy in the apt. I'm okay with the quiet rush of cars going by, but it's the honking and sirens that get to me. The honking more than anything. They've woken me up on several occasions at 5 and 6am. I have heard my neighbors walking around above me, pretty sure they have hard wood floors and for some reason always like to walk a lot really late at night. Other than those things I'd say it's a great place to live. For the most part it's quiet and cozy. As I said, maintenance is responsive, the staff is pleasant, and it's a great location if you work in DC, which I do. I can walk the mile and a half to georgetown or take the bus. And the elevators are the fastest around.
