don't move in here!

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003
I have been here for about a year and I would not recommend it.
First: The mail. For some reason I have had huge trouble with getting my mail, as has the couple in the apartment next to me. This came to my attention when some very important documents did not arrive and the sender told me they had been received back marked "return to sender". Twice!! This has continued to occur all year. My roomate's bank was going to close his account or something after getting a statement back marked "addressee unknown". If you need to get your mail, do not move in here.
Second: the parking. do not beleive that you will be able to rent an extra parking spot like their website tells you that you may. They put me on the "waiting list" last July. I'm still "waiting". And a guy in the building had his car stolen off of the street out front recently.
Third: the utilities. the management company has some deal where they pay the utility companies and then they give you a bill. well, the bills are supposed to be monthly...but they never have been. A huge bill wil just arrive one day...and it won't even be clear what months it applies to...recently we got a notice asking for a $150 "deposit" for utilities. I said no way. It's their own damn fault they can't figure out who owes what. I've always paid on time...when they got around to giving me a bill. Oh, and expect nasty "your utilities payment is late" notices on your door when they haven't even given you a bill.
Fourth: The noise. Every night I'm kept up by loud college-aged kids sitting out laughing and yelling and partying until after midnight, sometimes as late as 3 a.m. on weeknights. The bedroom windows are out on the same side as the balconies. If you are a professional and have to wake up in the morning, don't live here.
I'm moving out, and I actually considered using my tax refund to do so early.
