Unless you like mold...

I have lived at Ross Heights for three years now with my roommate. On a number of occassions, the maintenance has been quick to respond to our issues (which have been numerous), but those occasions were only when the solution was simple and easy (like, fixing our water pressure). Recently, it became known to us that there has been a long-standing water leak and a hole in the infrastructure allowing rain water to come into our first floor apartment. Rather than help us and offer us guidance on how to recoup the costs we've incurred as a result of the damage done to our personal effects, they are blaming us, saying our apartment is dirty and not well kept (when asked, they cited a cobweb in the corner of the room, under the couch and our vents were not dusted). They also had the audacity to complain that my clothes were hanging in the dining room and living room while they repaired the water leak through my closet. They refused to reimburse us for any hotel costs incurred while they repair the leak (which is required by VA state law) and will likely not prorate our rent as our apartment is uninhabitable from the mold and mildew smell. Rather than offer some customer service and help with what can be a very serious health issue, the management was rude to myself and my roommate and is using every opportunity to spin the flooding on our upkeep of the apartment. They are also now trying to cover themselves by issuing us a warning that if we don't clean the apartment, we'll be evicted. Again, mind you we took the apartment as-is from a friend's lease who had already lived there for a year, and have lived there now for three years. You would think to maintain property value, they would seek to have the carpets repaired. We can show them every single receipt of when we've had the carpets cleaned, when we've had cleaning service, etc. Rosslyn Heights is awful. 26 more days left on our lease!

You didn't live in apt # 141, did you? I was thinking about moving into that one, but am having second thoughts after having read these reviews...
