Sheffield Court is a very nice property, for the price. They have a washer and dryer IN every apartment, a dishwasher, and central air/heat. I feel that this is much nicer than many of the comparable communities in this area. If you have a pet (which I have two cats), they don't charge the arm and a leg that many other apartments do. Parking is also included in your lease, unless you want a private spot. There are several parking lots, some- many seem to forget exist. I don't park right infront of my door every night, but usually I find a spot close by.
Maintenance is decent. They try the best they can for the amount of guys they have working a huge property (600 apartments'). They just got one more guy, and the office staff said they are getting another one very soon.
The office staff has gone through a bit of changes in the past few months. I feel that the change has been in my and all the other resident's favor. They DO seem to CARE about the residents. Someone always says HI and SMILES when I visit the office. I can understand that there are some IDIOT/DUMB people out there who say and do many things to make someone else's life miserable. I KNOW that they have to handle stuff like that on a daily basis. They try their best, and I'm sure feel under-appreciated by many of the people here.
My apartment is nice. I had new carpet when I moved in 2 years ago. The appliances are old, but they DO WORK! If they break, I call the office and they come and fix it as soon as possible. The windows can be a bit drafty during the winter, but I call the office and they put up weather stripping for me! Easy!
We had a GREAT party in the NEW Clubhouse at the main office. They had tons of food and live music. I made sure to THANK THE STAFF for their obvious hard work.
If your looking for a place that is reasonably prices, pet friendly, offers parking,and close to the Metro, then I would recommend Sheffield Court. You do get what you pay for, despite what people say.
