Not bad if you get the deal!

When we moved in we got the 2-months off plus all fees waived. Considering these are new apartments this is not bad at all! Now, this is place is not luxury as advertised. New, yes, but not luxury. I'll just say it's nice. The more you live here the more little things fall apart here and there, nothing major though. They did rennovate this building in a hurry. I guess it's not very quiet, but that's what you get when there are 100 people live on the same floor. Outdoor parking lot always has room. I don't have any problems with management, if you are cool with them they are cool with you. But if you are an unhappy, sad individual predisposed to conflict, than it's your problem. Overall, you can't beat 1660/month incl. utilities, for a 2BD with HW and W/D in DC Metro, even if it's only for one year.

Except it's not in the DC metro. It's 20 min by bus to the metro and if you're going to Foggy Bottom for instance it's a 40 min ride everyday (it's worse during weekends). Yes, there are buses and till late at night but again if you fancy spending 2 hours transferring from bus to metro, the place is far from metro.
And the management were not exactly 'cool' when they kicked out tenants a few months ago and for some only two weeks after signing their new lease. They were not cool either when they left tenants freezing for two weeks in May because they switched to airconditioning too soon and so tenants couldn't turn on the heaters anymore.
Those tenants were hardly 'sad and predisposed to conflict.' They were simply individuals who loved their homes and were forced out of it by a greedy and deceptive management that had zero integrity. They were not cool, just cold.

$1660 permonth utility included for 2BD?!?! I gues they cant decieve people anymore so they are giving out best deals possible. I was paying $1672 Utility(around $150-$250) a year ago, for 2 BDR.
Believe me if you experince any problem and the managements doesnt care, you will understand how cool they are!!

Yes, I think it is totally lame that the management tries to backfire true resident responses with fake messages like this one. I didn't find it hard to believe a previous review that said the staff was a little on the bitchy/cold side...I too was swooped in by "the deal", but it is clear who the reviews were speaking to and I think its funny that the some of the staff clearly know who they are because they find the need to respond with corny messages (on here and at the viewing of the apts). I will say some of the staff is very sweet and helpful and ALL of the tenants I have come across have been very nice and helpful as well. Oh, but the utilities - what a scam!!! My bill went from $50 to $120 in one month!! I am convinced they are making the tenants pay for all the extra's it is costing them to do these renovations and not actual utility use BY tenants. I had an older tenant tell me she wanted to start a petition...I don't think it's such a bad idea! ...However, I don't think I would be complaining if the renovations were actually finished when they were supposed to be and/or if the quality was a little better!!! Costs definitely outweight the benefits here. I can't imagine moving in at the full renting price!
