1. parking is impossible and apartments come with only 1 decal, guest parking is a handful of spaces.
2. rats and mice in apartments (Its nice to have roommates, but I never bargained for Stuart Little as one.
3. no central air conditioning
4. my apartment is not the luxury apartment I was sold on. Nice but not luxury!!
5. not the best neighborhood
6. traffic is horrible as the complex is on a major highway
7. not a place for young working professionals, more appropriate for service workers and the such.
8. The stairwells smell like piss
9. There is a building wide roach problem.
Pros:
Truthfully, I really cant think of ANY except for the
1. Washer and Dryer in the apartments (when they work)......water pressure is a problem in building at this time due to soo few people living at here.
2. 24 hour concierge.

ALL THE LIES ARE SAD that are being posted by UDR management...Interesting how someone who seems to have ulterior motives responding to many of the negative posts here, and even haing the gaul to post bogus, favorable reviews of the Taylor Place dump..... SAD Taylor Place has to stoop so low

this person does not write about UDR Taylor Place. There are no highways anywhere near the Place. It's on Columbia Pike! Also, parking is never a problem. No roaches or mice here. Water pressure is fine and I live on the top floor. Most people who live here ARE young working professionals. Why smear this place? It's really not that bad...

Interesting how negative one can be... I am sure if you wanted to move out they would probably be happy to see you go. Noone would want to put up with all that negative BS. I am happy they issue decals..to keep idiots like you in check. Also, I love the location... and, I have never seen any pests. Get a life.

You wanna see a "pest"? Then look in the mirror because if you live in the Taylor Place dump you must be rather nasty

I've been by this property and I wouldn't consider Columbia Pike is a highway. I am puzzled that throughout major construction that even if this property had a major roach problem how could they possibly survive during construction. From what I have heard of this property they had to empty the building so roaches would have to live off something and besides roaches come usually when someone has a nasty apartment. Just my opinion but they must have pissed you off....do you live there now?

I agree with the original post about the hallways smelling like piss...I was quite disgusted when I moved in. I see cleaning people constantly mopping the basement floor - somebody needs to tell them to hit the stairs and service elevator On the Regular! As for the construction, I was told it would be done by November! I could definitely get more for my money elsehwere - as all the renovations are actually quite cheap looking. Not to mention the noise and DUST are a HUGE problem. I can constantly hear people (even just walking by) and I am having a hell of a time keeping that nasty construction dust from coming in my front door and kitchen door! You can literally see the light coming through huge cracks at the bottom of the doors and on the sides. Every person I have talked to seems to have the same complaints. Fortunately, no bugs or pests here ... and I better not see any either! Can't wait til my lease is up!
