I'm running away from this place as soon as my lease is up. Consulting a tenant's atty to see if I have cause to break my lease 2 months early. Mgmt are idiots running the asylum. They ask for your patience and consideration while the heat is still on in common areas and there's no A/C in apts and it's 90 degrees outside, they pass out flashlights in case you might need them when they schedule no electricity for 6 hours. Once a month you're playing musical cars in the parking lot or chasing down your vehicle that may have been towed. You think you live on Columbia Pike but the entrance to the building is a city block around back - while they take more than 3 months to renovate a lobby that only needed new furniture. I haven't seen them but I understand from my neighbors they have had problems with mice (Mar 09).

Everything in this review is so true! I can't wait for my lease to be up! This place is such a scam and run so ass backwards it makes me want to scream. Don't let them fool you with the new name change to The Whitmore Apartment Homes - this place is just a dressed up sh** hole. You may be dazzled at first but it quickly disappears once you realize that this is really just an old building with a cheap bandaid on it and an expensive price tag to boot. There is ALWAYS something going wrong or being fixed with your apartment or the actual building - no water, no lights, no heat, no a/c, the elevator that is always out of service, broken dishwasher, broken garbage disposal, leaking shower head, broken shower handle, broken door handle - not to mention the general annoyance of things like dog piss in the elevators and stairwells, fly ridden and smelly dumpsters blocking the doorways, parking shirades, the ability to hear full conversations whether in the hallway walking by or in your apartment hearing everyone else walking by ... i could go on and on. This place is simply trying to be something its not! It would be different if they scaled down the price and it was a case of "you get what you pay for", but the prices are delusional for what you actually get. Take my advice and look somewhere else - there are plenty of other specials out there that will give you your true money's worth!
