Beware of sluggish office staff!!

This is definitely not the worst place I've lived, and it is certainly not the best. Understanding that ALL apartment complexes have problems, this one still takes the cake. The office staff is friendly- but that's it. The less they have to do the better. Don't bother calling about anything because they won't take care of it. You might as well fix things in your crappily constructed apartment yourself because the maintenance staff leaves much to be desired. Wooden thru-ways in buildings are noisey which you don't notice until you move in. Anytime, day or night, you can hear people coming and going. Oh, and the doors to and from the garage are ridiculously heavy (I guess to keep people from sneaking in'') and slam so hard EVERY time that it shakes the building. Obviously these doors don't work because non-residents get in. Numerous noise, trash, plumbing, pest, water heater, A/C problems and we've only been here 9 months. Several cars in the "secure" garage were broken into all in one night recently. The office sent around a letter blaming the problem on a broken gate and drivers letting people in behind them. Perhaps it's the riff-raff you're renting apartments to. Or the fact that there's Section 8 housing all around us. Take some responsiblity please, Metropolitan. And don't plan on getting a visitor spot for friends or family because management doesn't enforce it and residents park there instead of paying the $50 a month for a space. Residents with dogs (not all of them, MOST of them) like to take them out unleashed. Especially the lady that always lets her dog out by the dumpster unleashed to crap in that teeny strip of grass then NEVER picks up the poop. Thanks for that!! Lazy Lazy. Get a house with a backyard for your ugly dog to ---- in, you slacker. Don't let your dogs run free inside the gates. Other people live here to. I'm not saying that you shouldn't live here. Just look and check out every other conceivable option before coming here as a last resort. Don't be fooled by the clubhouse or the sales pitch!
