Although I have lived here a short while (my lease started on November 1, 2005), I continue to be amazed at the outstanding service provided by the distinguished, kind, and caring staff who do all they can to assist and ensure safe and pleasant living.

Oscar is outstanding in every way - highly professional, keenly knowledgeable, and exceedingly helpful in assisting people -because of his foresight and attention to details, my move in was much easier than I expected. Oscar was also most helpful and understanding when I needed to change the date for the move-in because of incessant rain. Also, the well managed programs here really make a difference, e.g., move in procedures (and immediate courteous and competent assistance by such wonderful front-desk personnel). Don also assisted during my move in and continues to do so - I am most appreciative for his kind, helpful service on my move-in day which made the major move [with Penske truck] go smoothly.

The personal care received from the high-quality, distinguished staff at this apartment exceeds expectations. Dittmar Management has a great asset with Oscar - he is truly exceptional because he is not only highly professional but he is a genuinely caring person with demonstrated human value assets such as courtesy, concern and understanding - which add up to a 100% [A ] Leasing Consultant - he is the best Leasing Consultant I have ever encountered. I really appreciated using the cart behind the desk for my clothing and fragile articles when moving in - I have never had such a helpful service before in any apartment ever rented. And this has nothing to do with rental price as the last apartment I lived in - although somewhat lower in monthly rent was actually higher in cost because of money spent for accidents caused by unsafe living conditions, very poor maintenance and crime. The last apartment I lived in before moving here, was supposedly lower in price and advertised as "Alexandria's most coveted address." That former apartment turned out to be the most dangerous, dirty, unsanitary, unpleasant, overwhelming noisy, worst place I ever lived - my car was vandalized twice on their grounds. Therefore, apartment price is not always a guarantee that one will receive a good and safe place to live. A person really needs to be careful as advertisements do not always tell the truth.
Therefore, I appreciate finding out that what Virginia Square Apartments have to offer and say - turns out to be true.

In relating my past apartment distressing experience, I have great appreciation for the Virginia Square Plaza which is truly beautiful, wonderful, outstanding apartment -so bright, cheery, super-clean, sanitary, well-maintained, healthy, pleasant, convenient to Metro!, and run by the most competent, pleasant, helpful, courteous, respectful staff. Again, although I have lived here for a very short time, this place is a heavenly haven compared to previous apartments, especially the last one.

I consider myself very blessed to have found out about the Virginia Square Plaza, and very lucky that Oscar was available to help me when I called in search of a 1-bedroom. And, although I would have preferred a lower floor, it turned out that the 6th floor is just fine, and I have a beautiful view of the Courtyard. The elevator service in this apartment building is incredibly fast and unbelievably wonderful!

To anyone who may not consider moving here because it is more expensive than other places, I would say, try to do it because in the long run, a person actually saves more money as: all utilities and parking are included, the convenience of Metro has already saved me many dollars in driving and parking, the washer and dryer in the unit is GREAT and has obliterated the $25-$30/month I used to spend to wash in dirty and poorly-maintained machines [and where my clothing was also taken].

Virginia Square Plaza is actually a little lower than other new, beautiful apartment buildings in this area - perhaps because it doesn't have a swimming pool - but I don't need one - the Exercise Room (and all the other rooms they have) are magnificent. I shopped around before renting here and I believe a person receives great value and outstanding service for the rent paid. The staff services received here are second to none - the best I have ever received.
With all the positive pluses for this place, how could anyone go anywhere else' I hope to stay here as long as I remain in this area - and I have a few more years to work before I retire from the Federal Government.
