I moved in about six months ago and it is a great place to live-clean common areas, friendly staff and neighbors, and very well maintained. I have not had the problems with Eileen mentioned here, but of course everyone has different experiences. I will say my neighbors have had strange problems with their bikes. For some odd reason, you are not allowed to put bikes on your (spacious) balcony, or anything but outdoor furniture and plants. Also, I don't have a car, and even though the lease clearly states you are to be given a parking space, they won't do it, quoting some law or another. Still, they will give you free visitor parking, which is some recompense.
But these are minor quibbles. It is a really great place to live for the money. Not as much flash as a charles smith place, but much better run.

Give it a rest melhen05. You've commented on every review on this site, determined that your point of view should be the only one. The "perfect" status of this apartment predates new management, and doesn't even look believable at that.
I'm glad the OP has had a good experience so far. No bikes on the balcony is a bit of a shame, but I can see both sides of it. I don't find bikes as ugly as some of the things hanging around on the balconies here... but some people might. Fortunately the bike lockers are $5/month if you need somewhere to store them. Not as convenient as your balcony, but flexibility and accommodation aren't hallmarks of this building.
I think it's hilarious (and in line with some of those *gasp* negative reviews) that they've cited "some law or another" to you about why you won't be given the space your lease pays for. Isn't that divine? Who knew Arlington had a law on the books that says "in highrise apartment buildings you may not be assigned a parking space if you don't own a car to park in it, lest you dare put something other than a car there; unless of course you're management and then you can do whatever you want." yeah... right... Just like putting a bicycle in your parking spot is a "fire hazard". As cited elsewhere, if you experience the random management hit squad, you can be sure there'll be some vague "legal reason" that no one can seem to direct you to, but nevertheless has management's hands tied. C'est la vie.

You haven't had any problems with Eileen because these negative reviews are written by a messy neighbor or disgruntled ex-boyfriend of Eileen. I love this apartment and the staff are so nice. All my friends are jealous that I live here. I think it is a shame the someone is doing this to the reputation of the apartment. It used to have almost a perfect score on this site.
