I have lived in Washington-Lee Apartments in Arlington for 9 months now. I have been evicted for washing my car.

While living here, here are verbatim notices that have made there way in BOLD on the front of every apartment door. There have been 6, but I have only collected the last three:

February 2005: WARNING! USE OF CELL PHONES OUTSIDE ON GROUNDS IS NOT ALLOWED. SAVE YOUR PHONE CALLS FOR YOUR APARTMENT. NO ONE WANTS TO HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. THIS WILL STOP IMMEDIATELY! MANAGEMENT

March 2005: WARNING! (something about having guests over without permission from the management - you are only allowed 14 guests per year)

March 2005: WASHING YOUR CAR IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE PARKING LOT. DO THIS AT A FILLING STATION. IT GETS WATER ON THE STREET AND NO ONE CARES TO WATCH YOU WITH YOUR SHIRTS OFF. DO NOT WASH YOUR CARS HERE. MANAGEMENT

June 2005: SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SEEN WALKING ON THE GRASS RECENTLY. THERE ARE DESIGNATED SIDEWALKS TO WALK ON!! IF YOU ARE SEEN WALKING ON THE GRASS AGAIN, YOU WILL HAVE 5 DAYS TO VACATE YOUR APARTMENT. MANAGEMENT

Now, why these sound bizare, let me fill you in on some personal letters i ahve received from the office, attached to my front door.

"Your apartment in not clean, please clean your apartment."
I had my dishes in the sink, and had not folded my laundry and a few beer bottles on the table.

"You have been seen cutting across the grass. If you do this again, you will be forced to vacate your apartment"
Yes, I cut across the grass once or twice, nothing else to say about that.

"Do not set up roach traps in your apartment. Our pest control will do that"
They didn't come, and after a week, I took care of the problem myself by buying 4 roach traps. Since being forced to remove the traps, the roaches have retruned, and the management has not properly been able to correct this issue sufficiently.

You may now be beginning to think, how is management so knowledgeable about personal apartment dwellings'' They've been in at least 4 times without notifying me.

IF YOU DO MOVE HERE, IT **WILL** BE LIKE MOVING BACK WITH YOUR PARENTS PROVIDED THEY TREAT YOU LIKE A STUPID CHILD. To the management, you are like a nuisance, who only causes them to do work. I would advise finding an apartment where you can be an adult and not have to come home to random eviction notices and rude "WARNING!" "THIS WILL STOP IMMEDIATELY!" "YOUR APARTMENT... ..." notices scotch taped across the premises.
