Something's to be said of impressions...

I still live here, and I can attest to some of the comments made here. I will give my schmeal in a bit on them.
But first, my experiences. I haven't had any bad dealings with Sandra. But, it's probably because I live in the one of the units to the side and behind her own. Therefore, she does not see me walking on the grass. I haven't had any pest problems, what-so ever [the level of cleanliness for each tenant may factor in greatly here]. But, the AC is fine in a 1br [which is me], the radiators are shot, you can turn them all the way up but you only get marginal heating. If you leave your home, say for work and the heat is on, it will be hot when you get home [heat rises and fills better than un-tempered air]. It's true about the painting, they don't scrap away the old paint or even try to, they just ad coat 150 on top of what's there. It's true about the carpeting, they really want W-2-W, but they can only force the 80% bs. The washers dryers are now $1.50!!! An atrocity in a complex like this. You will only be able to do about 3 loads of washing and drying. The parking is the worst and most maddening thing about living here. Check this out: At ANY TIME, and I mean ANY, there is more than enough parking behind some of the end units, and in the front of them. Yet, W&L could clearly designate about 30 or so spaces and just make them visitor parking. No! Instead, they have the Tow co. rape you. The tow co. is very fast to come get your ----! I've had 2 of my friends car's almost taken within the 1st hour of arrival. The 3rd time hasn't happened, nor will it be the charm. The mail service is horrible, you get more junk mail and spam mail in your mailbox than you get in your inbox for e-mail. The Letter Carriers can't read, they give you the whole buildings mail, and still don't give you your own. Ms Rose, oh Ms Rose, I'm not going to bash you like so many have done, only because I have had no interaction with you, and I'd like to keep it that way. But, Ms. Rose gets perks that no other tenant gets: i.e. she has her own washer and dryer IN UNIT!!! She is allowed to have a DOG!!!!! That's all I can say about her. My GF is coming for New Year's and I haven't said ---- to W&L yet, I'm hoping I won't wake up with an eviction notice telling me I didn't ask to have guest spend the night. The maintenance crew is cool, a few of them are nice dudes, they speak, and go about their jobs. Now the area is very quiet, clean, and very livable due to the Arlington location, you're walking distance from the metro, cab's run like water through here as well. There are a couple of small Ma & Pop grocery stores, Chinese food, a few Cleaners and plenty of fine dining, and shopping. There is a burgeoning house market too. The Night life is for some, NOT for others. It's Arlington, I'm a DC'er myself so that's that. The neighbors are fine, we keep to ourselves, I haven't had anyone snitch on my music loudness [although I am respectful of the other tenants], or how frequent a visitor stays [I'm knocking on wood as we speak/type]. So, there's my little overview of the spot, you decide.
