This complex will bend (and possibly break the terms of the lease agreement you sign, I am looking into if a verbal agreement when you sign a lease counts as a legal agreement). Make sure you record in writing every detail of your lease (for example, if you have a pet that you like that they tell you that can have here, make sure you get that in writing). The manager is not to be trusted. Others have said she is mean, but I suspect she just has a very low opinion of the people who live in the complex. If you are ready to be treated like trash when you live here, then the price is right. I've kept my apartment quite clean, paid my rent on time, and I have lived within the rules (some of which are absolutely ridiculous). If you can afford it, and like to be treated as a regular human being, find another place.

That said, there are good things about this complex:

-The maintenance staff is very nice and they take care of any problems quickly.

-The price is decent considering the location is fairly easy within walking distance (15 minutes) to either Courthouse or Clarendon depending on where you live within the complex.

-There is a bus stop on one side of the complex if you are going to Georgetown, and another one at the other end if you are going to the Clarendon or Ballston Metro stops.

What is worse is that there are neighbors who do get special treatment and exceptions are made for those residents who have been here for a while. A while being more than the five years I have lived here. Apparently the terms of my lease changed since I have been here, yet I have never been informed.

Honestly, move here if you are new to the area and just starting out. Know that your girlfriend or boyfriend cannot spend the night without your giving management her/his information beforehand (your neighbors can report it, I've seen it happen), and that she/he cannot be in your apartment more than ten nights per month.

This is a nice transition if you are used to having an RA in your dorm hallway or you are just moving out from your parents' house. If you are looking to be treated like an adult, you will probably have to pay up.
