Recently I moved into an apartment and found that the blinds were bent and the walls above the thermostats not completely painted.

Naively, I thought the complex had rushed to get me and repair guys were coming back to complete the painting. Never happened.

Overall the management never responds to repair requests, and when they do, they claim it isn't broken. My disposal was grinding metal, so I complained. The repair guy said to drop some ice in it once a week and it would be fine.

One night I was locked out of my apartment because the key, they provided, for the security lock wouldn't work. I had complained over the previous three weeks that the lock was working right.

After a lot of complaining I got the emergency repair number for Arlington Overlook. The woman laughed when she heard about my problem...it was a real deep belly laugh.

After much confusion and waiting the maintenance guy unlocked my apartment. Luckly my frozen food was wrapped up.

Hey, I almost forgot. One day painters cleaning up an apartment down the hall, came out of one of the apartments and blocked my way with their cans, drop cloths, etc. One of them was entertaining the others by screaming a song, while the others cheered him on. It was bizarre, it was 11 AM, but they acted like they were on Columbia Pike at 9 PM, sizing me up. For a second I thought "trouble." Then they made a narrow pathway and I got through. I notified management, which of course, never did anything about it.
