I have lived here for two years and am moving out. The community claims to be gated, however, in the two years I've lived here, the gates have been stuck in the open position for 20 months. One gate was hit on New Year's Eve, and the knocked-over pillar is still there, and the gate is still not fixed.
The maintenance is terrible here. It took me four phone calls and four months to have my bathroom sink faucet repaired -it was leaking and wasting a lot of water (which I pay for). The maintenance "fixed" the faucet four times before it actually stopped leaking.
Finally, I received an unpleasant shock when I received a notice about renewing my lease for another year. The management had decided to raise my rent 140 DOLLARS PER MONTH for a 12-month lease. I have never heard of such a large rent increase, and simply cannot afford to live here anymore.
The nice things about the property are the location, the metro shuttle, and Barbara, the fabulous door person in the North building.
