READ THE LEASE CAREFULLY!

I thought this apartment was a great deal for this area. But, 1 month after signing the lease, I find out I got screwed, big time. Rent does not include electric, gas, water or trash. Guess what, my friends who got the nicer apartment down the street pay less and get more. I moved to this area from PA, so I took the first place I saw. BIG MISTAKE.
1) Most apartments in arlington include (electric, gas, water, trash, sewer). All this can easily cost you $200/month. Since, heating is electric and you pay for it yourself.
2) Look at your apartment, not a sample model. Model is polished for appearance, mine is roach infested.
3) Parking after 8pm is impossible. Take the metro or be back before 8pm.
4) Hallways are filled with litter and are often smelly.
5) The free shuttle is always full with people. It can only take around 20 people. Everytime, I try to take it is already full. Metro bus is better and arrives ON TIME, and almost never full.
Overall, a bad deal. You may save $100 on rent, but pay more than $200 on other expenses.
