I've lived in the Wellington for a couple of years now and each year, the service continues to get worse. Management recently started charging for gas/electric, a utility that was previously included in the rent. (No adjustment was ever made in the rent.) Maintenance will no longer assist with lock-outs, something they've always done. Now, it's up to the locked out resident to call a locksmith on their dime.

Very poor coordination between management office and maintenance staff. Grounds (rear entrances to buildings, in particular) are poorly lit. Parking is a free for all--the gates to the parking lot remain open during business hours, so basically anyone could get in. It's often difficult to get a spot if you arrive home later in the evening. Police recently came through the lot and started ticketing cars that had expired inspection/personal property tax stickers--in the past, police were *never* allowed in our parking lot.

Management has also taken up the practice of upping rents in unrenovated units in order to prompt residents to either move out or transfer to more expensive units that have been renovated. My rent went up over $100 last year alone!

Hallways were renovated a few months back and look absolutely dreadful. And forget central A/C! All units still have convection heating/cooling systems. You have to wait until the building turns on the A/C before yours will work, which doesn't normally happen until mid-May.

This is definitely my last year here.
