The bad outweigh the good

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007
I have lived here for two years now. The first year was good, but this year has been horrible. There are always things that can happen that is out of management's control, but when things break down it should NOT take so long for management to fix the problems. Just a short list for those who do not want to read this entire entry, the following are the things that have broken over the last two years and have taken several days to fix: electricity, water cool (no hot water), security gate, main elevator, and freight elevator. I live in the south building where the freight elevator was down for approximately a year. One of the two main elevators broke down a dozen times in a year and took several days to fix meaning that there was one elevator working for eight floors. There was an electrical fire which resulted in them turning off the electricity on several different occasions to correct. Then one of the water coolers broke down and we had to operate (according to management) with only one water cooler for the entire building. We had luke warm water for almost six weeks! SIX WEEKS of having to take showers at my boyfriends and the gym I belong to. Then, when I complained I was told by those in the management office that they also lived in the building and had to deal with it too, but there was nothing they could do. I urge anyone considering the Wellington to look elsewhere. It just is not worth it. Although the apartments are renovated and large, I know several people who live within a few blocks who pay similar prices and do not have as many problems.
