I have lived at the Wellington for a year only because I was on a 12 month lease. One month after I moved in last summer, my laundry was tore and violated (literally cut holes) when it was in the dryer in the laundry facilities. The facilities are underground and do not have any cameras. I addressed the issue to the management and they were not willing to do anything to help the situation. I even filed it with the police and they found that it had happened before in the building and the managment was not willing to work with the tenants. I would not reccommend living at the Wellingon, it is not only unsafe, the management is not willing to help.

Which building was this in? It's happened in the North building a number of times! And I've heard the same thing...that management does not do a thing about it!

Wow,that's horrible! I lived at the Wellington for two years, and I was there in summer 2006. I was in the Central building though, and never had anything happen to my laundry. The Wellington is not a bad place to live, if it weren't for just a few people who cause problems. They had to take the machine that put money on laundry cards out of the laundry room in the Central bldg. due to thefts, that sort of thing. The Wellington really should put in cameras and hire more security if they don't want to lose tenants.
