I've been a resident here for awhile now and I can say some of these reviews are a little out of control. Yes, there are renovations being done right now, but would you rather live in a building that's being worked on, or one that's never upgraded' Most of the hallways in the South Building have been done and they look fantastic! The new driveways are nice too... wish they could have been driven on sooner though...

I am in an upgraded apartment and love the kitchens, the individual room control, and the overhead lighting. When I shopped around the area, the only place better was columbia crossing and they were small and EXPENSIVE!! Their biggest one bedroom is smaller than my studio (ok, so my studio is pretty big...)The boilers do go out from time to time but they've gotten pretty good with the hot water being back up the same day. Everyone in the offices seem to actually want to help, I guess its because of the new management. The convenience store is cheaper than 711, and they dry clean. The gym actually has free weights!!! No apartment gyms in the area have free weights!

I've lived in a few apartments over the years and while I can't say it is the best, it probably ties for it. I just wish there was a w/d in the unit, but now I just wait until I have a few loads of clothes and can knock em out in a little over an hr. Some things you just have to accept when you live in an apartment community, and when you do, it really can be nice and convenient. You can't beat the location I love my neighbors.

FYI - I moved to Shirlington and my gym has free weights and flat screen TV's.
