I've been here for a year, now, and really like my studio; it's HUGE, clean, well-equipped and comfortable, with a lovely kitchen, large bath/dressing area and more closet space than Imelda Marcos could fill. Got a rocky start when I had plumbing problems the first month. Since then, mgmt has responded promptly to my requests, probably because I am courteous and direct when I call them. Which brings me to my next point: Just about every complaint that has been posted here can be traced back to inconsiderate tenants.
As a homeowner in another state, I take care of the place where I live, and sadly, some of my neighbors do not. Besides renovating each apt as it is vacated, mgmt installed ceramic floors, new carpeting, landscaping, a dog park, and other enhancements to the common areas. They have community parties and BBQs, a beautiful cyber-cafe where they have events (like the current schedule of investment classes), and a monthly newsletter. In less than a year, there is no part of the decor that has not been damaged. Bleach on the carpeting outside the laundry, cracks and gouges in the tile, paint and wall coverings peeled. 'People' pile trash in the trash rooms instead of using the chutes and then complain about vermin (I don't have any). They disable the security doors and gates. It is discouraging to realize how ignorant and dirty people can be.
The Wellington isn't cheap, and it's an older complex. People need to keep in mind that all the damage they create takes time and $$ to repair. I guess when you rent anywhere, you are held hostage to others' attitudes and habits.

exactly, which is why this isnt the best place to be bc of the noise, the bad neighbors, etc

exactly which is why people that have moved out before are returning in record numbers. Every apartment complex is open to all that can qualify to rent. As a result you can not deny renters place to live my only down side of it is people should be considerate of their neighbors. People should know that, the cleanliness of such a place depends on those that live here. If people can just be just clean for the norms, the wellington is a wonderful place to live.

you are not a resident - you are a staff paid to lie. How pathetic! Funny you mentioned about being courteous. You, the staff are the most impolite and unprofessional people. When people come to your office you pretend to be busy, you scan people from head to toe making them feel very unwelcome, you don't give people the deserved attention - eat, drink, walk away while people are talking to you not to mention gossiping around about residents. You also said people are coming back...if there are more people why is the utilities bill going on higher every month? We get less for the money we pay - our hard earned honest money. We don't sit and write pretenting to be residents in order to make ourselves look good. Be good and your action will speak for you - no need to lie. Your rating says a lot about you. Shame.

To lancaburtino: No, I am not a staff member. When I leave to go to work in the morning, I see discarded mail on the floor in the lobby, candy smeared in the elevator, trash left in the trash room and soda bottles in the entrance. They had to put carpeting in the elevator and linoleum in the first floor entry because the tenants trashed the ceramic tile. And here's a big shock: utilities are high everywhere!! Open your eyes.
