Could be fantastic, but the management is working against themselves. The buildings themselves are a jewel - big apartments, soundproof, and an amazing view of DC from the rooftop decks. Nice neighbors. A lovely little convenience store in the basement of the central building. Those are the pros.
The cons:
The amazing rooftop decks are always locked.
The basement laundry rooms are full of sub-par washers and dryers that leave your clothes still damp at exorbitant prices.
Gym equipment is never quite clean, and doesn't adjust small enough for even a tall woman to use. The gym also tends to flood.
The elevators drop suddenly.
Building front door locks break without repair - sometimes locking you in the lobby, sometimes not locking at all.
The "upgrade" work in the new apartments is incredibly cheap - varied paint colors on the walls, chipping tile grout, cheap appliances, towel racks glued onto the bathroom wall.
The Metro shuttle is never on time to pick up in the evenings.
Parking lots that are supposedly 'gated' stand open for days at a time.

I wholeheartedly agree. What was once a jewel is now a lump of coal!
