The good: Good location, great school district.

The bad: New management took over 2 or 3 years ago, and although they are pleasant, they are not particularly effective. I frequently have to make repeated requests for maintenance. Management now often charges for routine "wear and tear" repairs, though my lease states this is their responsibility. I waited for over 3 days to have my heat repaired when the temperature was in the 30's. I waited over 4 months to have a leaky faucet repaired, and by the time they fixed it, water had been pouring out for weeks. My bathroom is a disgrace - the paint is completely cracked. Hardwood floors are old and faded. Buildings are about 60 years old & floors have not been adequately repaired. Requests to deal with noise problems are often overlooked and/or are not satisfactorily resolved. Managers do not reside on the property and so are unaware of how disturbing the noise can be. The grounds are maintained decently while the inside of your apartment goes to hell. You get the picture.

The ugly: I just received a 5% rent increase; last year my rent increase was 6%. THAT'S 11% IN TWO YEARS FOR AN EXTREMELY POORLY MAINTAINED APARTMENT! And I receive a rent increase every year.

A bigger problem is the noise. The walls are paper thin and you will hear EVERYTHING!
You deserve a lot better than Westover.
The only reason to tolerate this apartment is the good school zone. I will be leaving when my child graduates.
