The townhouse feel is nice, with nice natural light. But, I agree about the maintenence situation. My bathroom's paint is also cracking, caulk has eroded (plus they caulked over mildew), and the kitchen appliances are overdue for replacement. The fridge motor is distractingly loud.

What's worse, is the heat and water situation. Even though frequently bled, the radiators are uneven, and usually overheat the unit to the point where most have their windows open. Shower water fluctuates in temperature to extremes, which can burn if you don't step out of the stream. It will then go to nearly cold, before cycling back to extreme heat.
