Im not one to rock the boat in general - so Ive never had anything to say on this site - however, a couple of friends mentioned some information listed regarding this property that appears incorrect and I feel correction should be noted:
- There is no male front desk staff member (thus it would be difficult for "him" to be so rude)&
- There is no parking fee for guest parking
(so if whomever posted those two reviews catches this please remove and move to whichever apartment you were reviewing cause it would appear that it is not wildwood towers - perhaps wildwood park, down the hill')
The staff at the front desk in the course of the year and 1/2 I have lived in the property have never been anything but friendly, kind, considerate and thoughtful, on both a personal and professional level. The property manager, Carol, in particular, makes a sincere effort to be available to tenants on a personal level rather than simply handling her business and washing her hands of any problems tenants might have.
I've never had a problem getting parking for guests when needed.
I've never heard my neighbors, above, below or next to me. I know the ceilings/floors are concrete construction - try to hang a canopy over your bed and see if you can get a nail into it - which both insulates for weather and keeps the noise muffled ;)
The balconies run the width of the apartments - making the some of the largest I've ever seen.
The Porter keeps the building in remarkably clean condition - and as far as I can tell it is one women who does it all.
The turn around on maintenance issues is quick and efficient.
The individually control heat/ac and w/d in each unit on a "all utilities included" apartment is a nice perk.
The average tenant/neighbors are really friendly and nice - the building tends to have a very "warm" feel to it - Im not certain if its the staff or some of the long term elderly tenants but its definately a "family" feel.
The only "complaint" I might levy would be that Id like to see dittmar company spend some money to upgrade the gym, put in some weights and maybe some of the other amenities that some of their other properties have. Its not as if we (the tenants at WP) cant find out easily on the websites what the other properties are offering and we definately have the short list. If they would like to continue to raise the rent it would nice to see some commiserate raise in amenities as well.
Kudos to the staff that runs this building so efficiently (front desk, porters, maintenance, manager) - Thank You.
