I moved to Windsor Towers in February 2008 for a 6 month period while looking for a place to buy. What sold me on the place was that the units were very big and the location was great - not too far from the stores and great bus routes. One of my initial concerns before moving in was the fact that the entrance to 5539 was never locked and the door to the loading dock on the 2nd floor was left open AT ALL TIMES whereas 5537 (the building where the rental office is) was locked at all times. On the whole, I LOVED my unit - I had a HUGE studio, unfortunately the rest of the building needs work. The lighting in the hallway is very dim and the overall appearance is not that great - although looking at it from the outside the buildings look like they're in great shape. The laundry room used to drive me mad for a couple of reasons. First off, it's supposed to open at 8am. On more than one occasion I went down there 15-20 minutes early only to find the room open and all the (working) machines taken and usually by one or two people. Half the time one or two of the washers and / or dryers would not work or did not dry your clothes properly so you would end up spending more money. I made sure to call the comnpany and let them know there were problems with the machines and promptly got my check for $1.50!! The building is predominantly hispanic which really wasn't a problem except for when trying to do laundry, tenants would bring their kids and use it as a playground, allowing them to jump on the machines and open the dryer doors while they were in use. Note to parents: KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR KIDS - IF YOU HAVE TOO MANY - THAT'S NOT MY PROBLEM!!!! I did not have a problem with management, I think for the fact that I am an informed citizen there was no way they could pull one over on me!!! The hanging out in the lobby and in front of the building was a concern of mine also and the men hanging around drinking needs to be taken care of. As a single woman my safety is always a priority. One instance I do remember is leaving my apartment early one morning (around 6.30am) only to find some man sitting down in the hallway against the wall outside my apartment. I'm not sure where he came from but it really was a shock. I did call management and leave them a message but no-one ever got back to me. Then one evening after doing laundry as I came round the corner to get to my apartment (I lived on the 6th floor) I encountered the same man sitting down near my unit again. I promptly called the police and told them some man was loitering outside my unit - they said they would send a police officer but no-one ever came. This time I went to the management office and spoke with Changa, who said the matter would be looked into. I don't know if it ever was, but the fact that the entry door is never locked is cause for concern. Anyway, I did my 6 months and moved out and have not looked back. Like I said, it worked for me as a temporary place but I would not want to live there permanently - to those who do - GOOD LUCK! AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt

Laundry room dryers is my concerned too. I lost many $$ in those machines. Never knew that I could get them back. Also there no club house/gymnasium room.
