UPDATE: (Sept 9, 2009) The machines were replaced about a week ago. They are not new, but 13 of the 16 machines are working great and the continuous leak in the laundry sink has been stopped. Also, there is no longer an odd smell on the first floor.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: (Aug 25, 2009) Absolutely awful. We haven't had a laundry facility for months. Several weeks ago, the washers and dryers were replaced in the 5535 building and we were told that they would also be replaced in the 5539 building ten days later. It's been three weeks and you can see by the pictures what our laundry looks like. All the clothes piled up are people waiting to use either one of two working washers and three working dryers for a building of 137 units.

The ground floor smells like urine and mold. There are water stains from copious leaks all over the building. Anything that breaks takes months, even years to be addressed.

It appears that the 5535 building is kept in a better state of repair. I was shown around that building, but didn't like the apartments. The manager then took me to a unit in the 5539 building, but did not show me the facilities there. MAKE SURE if you do want to check out Windsor Towers and you're taken to 5539 that you ask to see ALL of the facilities.

If things improve here, I will amend my review.

I'd be interested to know how you feel about the security in the building. I am preparing to move there, am a single mother of two, and security is of very high concern to me. Also, many people have complained about everything from roaches and bed bugs to mice and rats. Would like to know what you believe the current situation to be.

Do not move here. I use to live there last year. Everything that everybody has mention is true. They do have a security guard that walks around after ten but that's it. The doors are always open. Don't move here.
