When my last apartment company in Rosslyn wanted to raise the rent I was paying from $1370 to $1520 a month (unaffordable at my salary!), I knew I had to get out, and fast. Rent was eating away more and more of my salary, but trying to find a 1 bedroom that cost less than $1300 was a pain. So imagine my pleasant surprise when I found Woodbury Park. It had all the features I was looking for:

- Metro Access (4 blocks to Courthouse, 5 blocks to Clarendon)
- Washer/Dryer in apartment
- Parking
- Less than an arm and a leg for the months rent
- Good, prompt staff service. (When I moved in, I called to get the A/C fixed. The repairs were done within three hours.)
- Did I mention it's cheap'

To answer other problems posted by reviewers: - The construction that many of the reviewers have problems with is nearing completion, I expect it to be done by June 2007 at the latest.
- They do have enough parking so that every apartment gets one space. The parking is still first-come, first-serve, though. But the parking fee is included in the rent.
- Crime is NOT a problem. Arlington PD makes regular patrols through the complex, and I have only seen one police stop in progress in seven months. The parking lot and stairwells are well lit, and two seperate keys are required to get into apartments (one to open the stairwell, another to open the apartment door.)
- Noise' What noise' Worst I hear is kids going up and down the stairwells after school.
- Pest problems: I've seen a grand total of one mouse since living here. It was in the stairwell. I called maintenance right away, and the pest control people were there in a few hours. I see one or two roaches a month.
- Trash: I have never seen an overflowing trash bin. (They must have put in a bigger one). There's a big industrial dumpster for regular trash, recycle bins, and an area behind the dumpster for bulk trash (old furniture, etc.) Trash is picked up once a week.
- Neighbors: I am the only one here who speaks English, but really, it's not that much of a problem. This is very much a family place, and I see kids and parents playing outside all the time.

Bottom line: It's definitely no-frills, but for what it offers, it's great, and the price is right. Thumbs up.
