Down right deceiving!

When we first moved to what was then known as Alexan Ryan's Corner (now Parkside at Ashburn) we thought it looked great. The landscape seemed beautiful and the clubhouse services were quite impressive. The property staff seemed very kind and genuine. Once we moved in, however, that all changed. The good staff members who knew what they were doing were replaced by a bunch of goons who could never give you a straight answer. There are constant problems with the access cards to the clubhouse not to mention it has been vandalized several times. The "gated community" was never really gated as it was always open or broken. There is absolutely no closet or storage space as the steps and garage cover more than half of the floor plan. Maintenance will only respond to your requests if they feel like it or if your house is flooded. If it snows, you can forget leaving the property because they don't shovel or plow, AND when they do plow they plow in your car. The parking plan is sad. Since maintenance won't fix any minor or major problems with your utilities you are forced to do so yourself. Unfortunately you can't because you don't have access to your utilities. The townhomes are drafty and overpriced. The soil outside is poor and there is dog poop everywhere. The construction workers must have been drunk when they built these townhomes. The trash compactor area is usually overflowing with garbage as maintenance is too lazy to do anything about it. The units are drafty and poorly built. You are forced to go through hell to get your satellite TV hooked up (because that's your only option) and it's expensive and the reception is often poor. If you want to watch TV when it is raining heavily you can forget about it. I will say, however, that the tenants are, for the most part, kind and respectful. There are those residents who are rather noisy during their late night parties but that's to be expected. Unless the new management has some magic up their sleeves this place will continue to remain a poor place to live. You deserve much better than this so I strongly recommend you search elsewhere. I know I will once my lease expires. I would do it sooner but I don't want to have to pay over $2,000 for breaking my lease.
