Having lived here for over a year, I can say that this was a good rental community, but a potential nightmare for uninformed buyers.

The units are built POORLY! From light-leaks under the front door to stairway handrails that fall off the wall, this place is falling apart. The top floor is too warm while the bottom level freezes (winter and summer). My neighbor's siding has had a large piece missing for over 2 months, allowing rain and snow to enter, and will lead to rot and mold (it is unsealed under the siding). Our unit is being sold sight-unseen (they show models). Low prices are no excuse for poor judgement.

The grounds are still kept generally nice, but trash surrounds the dumpster area, which often overflows. The "security gate" has worked less than 30 days in the year I have lived here. The "Fitness Center & Internet Cafe" is a refuge for unsupervised children after hours. I had to ask one boy to stop riding his bike indoors! I have seen kids bouncing on the furniture in the lounge and climbing the installed lockers in the workout room. This was while I was there, who knows what they did when I wasn't.

Generally quiet, but no noise protection from insulated walls, so you never know what you'll get. Parking availability is hideous. I have had no negative experiences with ill-behaved neighbors. The worst crime I have witnessed was smashed pumpkins at halloween. Having grown up in apartments, that's not too bad.

Unless you have the money to sink into repairs and upkeep, don't buy here. They are attracting buyers with low (relative to Ashburn) prices, but you are only getting what you pay for.
