We've been transferred three times in five years so we've rented several apartments in different regions of the country. Our apt. here is pretty, and it is a new complex. Unfortunately, the constuction here is the worst we've experienced. Our apartment is freezing most of the time because of drafty windows. I couldn't understand why we hear our upstairs neighbor's every move until maintenance came to fix a leak. They had to cut out part of the ceiling. I was astounded to see that all there is above our ceiling is plywood which is our neighbor's floor. No wonder we hear EVERYTHING!

We've always lived in upscale apartment complexes, and if we adjust the rent for the higher cost of living in Northern Virginia, The Ashborough is more expensive than it is worth. In the past, our renewal rent went up 10 to 20 dollars. Here, they're raising our rent $50. It isn't worth it.

The staff you see on a regular basis are very young, and they can be quite rude to tenants. I was in the office one day waiting to have someone get a package for me. The staff person was speaking with another tenant who had trouble with English. Her tone with him was rude and impatient which I found offensive. He is a paying customer, and therefore should be treated with respect.

Overall, our experience here has been mediocre even though this is the most expensive apartment we've rented.

How can you call them rude? When clearly they are rude and "obnoxious". Lets not sell their ignorance short. I've never seen a bunch of people so full of themselves in my life. I'm with you buddy. !!!HATE IT HERE!!! - Leaving soon... (best wishes)
