I have lived at Camden Westwind for 2 years. My first year and half was great. I loved the place. The area was beautiful, and except for the trash situation everything was well kept. Before the valet trash pick-up service was issued the dumpster areas were always disgusting and overflowing with trash. Occasionaly when I do go to the dumpster areas now it's not too bad.
I have rented a garage along with my apartment. It's great to have extra storage, but I hardly ever get to park my car in the garage because neighbors are constanly blocking the driveway access with their cars. I have even been blocked inside my garage because someone parked in my driveway overnight.
The other problem I have now is dealing with a very, very bad mice infestation. I can hear the mice running through the walls, see them walk inside the kitchen light fixture, and I am constantly cleaning up mouse dropping from the floor. Managment has not done much to fix this problem. They wait for the Orkin Man to come and figure it out. I have had to set my own traps and dispose of over 20 mice within a two week period. The Orkin Man only comes once a week. The only thing he has done is found where the mice are getting in at and set a big mouse trap outside of the building....not much help. No attempt has been made to get rid of the mice already within the building or to fill the hole where the mice are getting in at. If I wanted to live with mice, I could find somewhere alot cheaper to live at.
My advice to anyone would be to live somehwere else. This place is going downhill fast.

Please tell me they corrected this problem. I'm planning to move and this is the best until I read this post. I haven't found a decent place yet thats between $900-$1000

When I lived there I didn't have mice or anything, but we could hear our neighbors ALL the time and the place wasn't well insulated. Our heating bills (gas) were like $200 per month.

I also live at the Camden Westwind and am experiencing a bad mice infestation...I am not sure what is going on but it is very gross! Hopefully this issue is resolved soon!!!

I LOVE the apartments, and have lived at camden westwind for 3 years. I've never had problems, and loved the place till now. The new managment has an attitude. Wow. It seems like the whole community is infested with mice. Maybe that's why when I call and tell them to fix the hole in the wall where the mice are squeaking in to my kitchen, they act like its not a big deal. Maybe they have gotten so many calls about this. I've caught 5 mice. My apartment has been sanitized, yet I woke up in the night to a mouse crawling across my face. That was 2 1/2 weeks ago, now i can't sleep at night. I've called the office over and over about this and they have not really done much to fix it.
