I toured this community recently and found it to be sub-par to most communities I was looking at. It took the staff 20 minutes to even realize that we were there! (They were NOT even remotely busy) As we were talking with the staff, several residents came in to complain. I couldn't help but overhear their conversation, and believe me, it wasn't good. The model was nice, but the apartments themselves are extremely old and not kept up very well. I'm so glad that we chose another newer (actually THE NEWEST) apartment community in the area. We were able to get a much better rate and incentives, and the staff is excellent where we are. Since then, I've known several people in who live there and HATE it. Think very carefully before signing a lease here!

This must be from a competitor. The apartments are a couple years old.. you can see that cleary from the outside and inside. Everything is very new.

Oh yeah, this one is definately a competitor! If they're not, they are definately lying. I work at the leasing office & we have not had a model home since early May. We only show vacant apartments now. Not only that, but also there is no way he was not acknowledged if he was there for 20 min(unless he's hiding). Nice try!

Even though this property has high reviews, I would be rather apprehensive to lease from a place in which the employees seem to have a smart remark to all negative comments posted on this page. Appears to me that they do not take to critisism too well. And if you are back-talking in front of people who are prospective residents, what makes me believe that you wouldn't give me a hard time when the going gets tough if I choose to become a resident. Archstone does not seem to have the best customer service track record, at least not in the NOVA area. So, word to the wise, "flies do not enter a closed mouth". It just doesn't look very professional on your behalf. You might want to defend your work, but it is just making you look bad. And no I am not a competitor, I was an employee with Archstone as well as a former tenant, and I am not lying, just trying to help you out.

I've lived @ an Archstone community in Fairfax, recently viewed one in Herndon (and may move in there, well that was until I saw this property :)) and have always had a pleasant experience. The employees are not always puppies, kittens and butterflies everyday, but neither am I - and I'm sure neither are you. We all have our bad days. From the pictures this place looks gorgeous and I am very interested in finding out more information on this property. Apartment living "is what it is" - not everyone who rents is responsible or caring about their neighbors ... that's just how it is unfortunately.

I visited this property today and the outside/inside is not old. As far as construction, it's not marble counter-tops and stainless steel appliances like the arbors at broadlands, but it's also not $200 more a month. I can't say the place is old. Looks damn new to me.
