First off...to the lost soul who thinks all bad comments here are lies...open your curtains and see the light around this place! And if you let your kids out to play in the street and complain about the way people drive...get real, this is a housing community, not a daycare...take some responsiblity. Unlike others, I was smart and got a 4th floor...because all apartments are mostly the same, unless you are on top, you hear everyone's footsteps. The comments regarding the TV service are correct...it's horrible. It's basically DirecTV ported down to a few channels with crappy picture quality for $50/month. Don't even get me started on the Broadband Internet...the weather is more predictable than the speed on that. Instead of trying to make a dime on everything, they should have allowed Adelphia to bring cable/internet into the complex so that we could at least get good service. And I too had my rounds with the management here. The girls in the office are very sweet and try their best, but aren't very knowledgable. The manager is the problem, she has the personality and customer service skills of a wet rag! Her attitude is horrible regarding any issue from rent to maintenance! It takes a call to either the Summit corporate office in Alexandria or Charlotte to adjust her attitude. The foyers are dirty and are never cleaned. A cat left his calling card in ours about 3 weeks ago...still no cleanup on that. The gym is always clean and well kept, along with the business center. The pool is beautiful and well kept also, although during the day I've watched the minivans roll in and the outsiders use the pool like it is a public park. Staffing here needs a one-way ticket to the unemployment line. It's a shame, my apartment is really nice and the location is okay. But, I've learned the lessons most renters do...it's time to buy a place and run the show my way. I've lived in worst, but definitely much better.
