I am also coming up on my lease renewal and I am staying. University Heights is not ghetto. I think everyone just wants to complain about every single thing! I admit there are things that UH are not professional about, but this is a not a luxury apt. UH is a decent place to live at a good location in Loudoun County. Of course, the doors and windows always have air coming through, but its not the greatest quality, but for what I pay, that is expected. When I first moved in, of course everyone has problems, there were a couple of things were not working so I filled out the slip to be repaired. It didn't take very long to get things repaired since I didn't nag them every single day. Remember, please be polite and not rude to anyone since they are only trying to do their job (be in their shoes for once)and everyone should know that usually the Management office ANYWHERE are not always the pleasant ppl (no offense management). Parking is great, usually everyone parks in their own space and there is so much parking unless you live in the middle of the neighorhood, but throughout the place there is. Pretty convenient there is a LC training center so there are police around. For this place, it is great that there is a washer and dryer in the unit!

No, it isnt to be expected that management are not pleasant and it isnt alright for air to come through your windows and door and you shouldnt have to nag everyday to get something fixed. If you want to throw your money away go right ahead but dont expect others to be happy about it

So why is their slogan luxury awaits you? Where have you been!!???? And why would you automatically assume that we are not polite? And that we nag them daily???? You do work for management...I am sure. I personally was quite polite and patient because I had no cause not to be. It was the very first time I reported a maintenace issue - toilet not working. I reported as an emergency b cos I was in a 1 BR 1 BA. After two days of no response, (which I think was ample time) or even feedback that acknowledged they got my message, I think I was very much justified in calling them back. Do you know what their response was? "We decided it was not an emergency because you did not give a full description of what the issue was." Now tell me with a resposne like that - what are you supposed to do? But I am proud to say I held my cool, informing them it was not usable and that they need to fix it immediately. After 3 more days of NO ACTION..yes I began to nag them. AND YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TELL ME THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE! IF you want to sit in an apartment witn no functioning toilet for 1 week because you do not want to 'bother' the maintenance crew TO DO THEIR JOB...that is your problem, not ours!
