I've been living in University Heights apartments since May 2007. When I first went to view the apartment complex I was dealing with a lady who told me about their specials that they had going on at that time. I called back two days later to speak to the lady to let her know to get a lease together and she no longer worked there. I was supposed to deal with this other lady who was going to get my papers together. A week went by and no word from the new lady. I called and asked to speak to her, she no longer worked there. This happened 5 times!!! Finally the day came that I had to move in. When I finally got there, the lease STILL was not ready to sign but they gave me the keys anyway. The keys wouldn't work. How many more problems is this place going to give me'!' I should have run away but they were the only apartment complex in Ashburn cheap enough for me to afford.
Once I got in I filled out the maintenance form which took 4 months for them to complete. In order to get a light fixed above my stove it took 2 months. Terrible service.
I have had serious problems with neighbors blasting their stereos, domestic violence, leaving their trash outside their front doors, etc, etc. The complex does NOTHING about these problems. I finally had to call the health department about the trash that was being left outside people's doors and on their balconies. I called the cops about the noise. The staff are useless and with the amount of turnaround that is happening, you never get the same person twice. They recently lost a rent check of mine and have not contacted me back about it. When I call their office, no one answers.
The parking is good for people that live there and visitors. The trash is not convenient but it is still everyone's responsibility to put it in the dumpster. Everyone's patios are trashed with random items. No one picks up after their animals.
If you just want somewhere to live temporarily and you are ok with the above problems, then it might be ok, otherwise search elsewhere.
