I lived here for two years. The townhouses they have at Apartment Heights are nice, but old, so a good value for the price (hardwood floors, plenty of windows, but no AC). There is ample parking, it is on a good bus route and is in walking distance to downtown and some parts of campus.

Unfortunately, I found the office staff to be completely untrustworthy. Before we moved in, the staff had informed me that another company would be providing cable service to the community soon. I specifically asked them if we would have the option to choose our cable provider and they told me we would. Instead, after we moved in, this startup company slowly took over our cable (providing a bulk DirecTV service instead, and we lost many local channels in the process), took over our phone (at which point I got a cell phone) and our Internet service as well. All this companies services were unreliable initally (imagine you phone not working on a regular basis, no local TV cannnels, etc.). This did improve over time, but at no time would I say this company ever offered comparable services to the normal local providers for the same price. Undoubtedly, Price Real Estate had gets some kind of kickback in this exclusive utility contract. When the time came to renew our lease, they had us wait till the last minute to sign it, then told us we had to sign this other contract to pay to replace our carpet (which was only on the stairs anyhow) when we moved out before we could renew our lease. What choice did we have, we would've been out on the street in a few days if we didn't sign. When we moved out, on the apartment inspection they charged us some ridiculous amount for not cleaning one set of blinds (which I'm pretty sure I'd cleaned), but she claimed they had dust on them. Then when we got our deposit back, I'd found they'd added other charges after I had been there for the inspection (stupid me, I didn't get a copy of the inspection sheet, or I'd have taken them to court). Anyhow, I've lived in 7-8 different apratments in my life and had always gotten all of my security deposit back but this place. Anyhow, this place is a family run business, and in my opinion the family members in the office look for every possible way to make a buck.

The office is off site, and if you are lucky enough to catch a maintenance person around, they are a great help and seem to to love their jobs. Good luck if you try to get to them through the main office though.

All in all, this is a good place for the money, if you're willing to put up with an untrustwothy office staff.
