I've been living in Apartment Heights for the 07-08 school year. So far, there's been a lot of good things and bad things. What I really like about the apartments is that they are big, the rooms are equally sized, lots of closet space, and all the utilities except electric are included. I'm able to walk to class, and the bus comes right to the complex. Also, being able to walk downtown comes in really handy. The maintenance staff has responded to any work orders I've placed that same day.

Some of the bad things about Apartment Heights is that the walls are thin. I can pretty much hear the conversation of the people who live above me word for word. I was also disappointed with how they kept up the complex after it had snowed. No attempt was made to shovel any of the walk ways, and I actually ended up falling on ice and scrapping my knee while walking to do laundry. Safety has also been a big issue. Earlier in the fall, I had someone go into my car. Luckily I didn't have anything in there to steal. Worse, a few weeks ago, someone smashed my car window and stole my ipod. They smashed the windows of three other cars that night, too. That along with no peep holes in the door, and I don't have the safest feeling living here.

I too lived at Apartment Heights and loved living there. As far as the snow removal and the sidewalks, it was in my lease that they only did the roads and parking lot, not the sidewalk. Also, concerning your vehicle getting broken into, I really don't think that had anything to do with the management company or the apartment complex as a whole, considering that there were cars being broken into all over Blacksburg.
