Chasewood downs is in a pretty good location, around the corner from Krogers, the Math Empo., a few min. away from campus, right next to two gas stations, and surrounded by other complexes, but it doesn't make up for the hell that chasewood management put myself and my two other roommates through. When we spoke with Chasewoods last year, the promised us new carpets, new doors and windows, cabnets and counter tops all before we moved in fall semester 2002, but when we got there we had old windows and doors that you practically dislocated your arms to open and close, old cabinets and counter tops, and carpet that is so dirty and old that when you walk across it in socks the bottoms become black with years of past residents filth. Almost immediately after we moved in they decide to send out notice that they were replacing all doors and windows and that all furniture had to be moved three feet from the widows, I had the small room, about a 10*9sqft room, only reason it wasn't a closet is because it had a closet of its own. Try moving a twin bed, and a computer desk, which is about all that fits, three feet anywhere in a room that small. Not only was that an inconvenient but trying to sleep while they did all the neighboring apartments was a nightmare. Then just before fall break they send us a notice telling us to clean out and off the cabinets and counter tops because they were going to replace them, finally, and after we moved everything to our dining room the night before because of such short notice, they didn't even show up for ours. We went away for 4 days, came back and still nothing. Finally after break was over and we came back for good, it was completed, but we still have that disgusting carpet in our apt, and where are we going to move all of our stuff to when they have to replace it' Who knows. Management is rude and slow to get maintainace repare orders answered. Try having no air conditioning for a few days because chasewood doesn't see it as an emergency to fix, so took their sweet time on it. Don't misplace your mail key, if you have to borrow the spare to walk the 10 feet from their office to the mail boxes, watch out, it will cost you. Parking their is a nightmare, they use it to park thier maintainane vehicles when they full know that there isn't enough room for even us. Once my roommate complained because she was towed out of her own complex for parking next to the end of the row since their weren't enough spaces and they told her that she should've parked at another complex or something...umm, excuse me chasewood, but I don't pay rent to park at another complex-do you' Chasewood down the management from hell.
